В третий день инфотура его участники посетили летний Дворец шекинских ханов. Историческое здание, дошедшее до нас в первозданной красоте из XVIII века, привлекает внимание внешним видом, стилем постройки, сложными орнаментами и особенно великолепными окнами, застекленными в витражном стиле, называемом в Азербайджане шебеке. Великолепные платаны в обнесенном забором дворе по возрасту старше самого дворца. Эта жемчужина зодчества построена в период правления Гусейн хана – внука основателя первого в Азербайджане независимого ханства Гаджи Челеби хана. Под псевдонимом «Мюштаги» Гусейн хан сочинял стихи, поэтому в некоторых источниках этот дворец именуется и как «Замок Мюштаги». Одна из сокровищниц азербайджанской средневековой архитектуры располагается на возвышенности в верхней части города. Приезжающие в Шеки, как из регионов республики, так и зарубежных стран туристы стремятся побывать в этом уникальном дворце. На основании соглашения, заключенного в 1999 году между правительством Азербайджана и Международной ассоциацией развития в рамках проекта «Охрана культурного наследия» дворец был реставрирован и обрел новую красоту.
Как сообщил директор Государственного историко-архитектурного заповедника «Юхарыбаш» Тарана Абдуллаева, в прошлом году город Шеки посетили свыше 14 тысяч туристов.
Translation - English A temple of art – the Sheki khans’ Palace
On the third day of the information tour, its participants visited the summer Palace of the Sheki khans. The historical building preserved since the 18th century to the present day in its original beauty, attracts attention with its outward appearance, the style of construction, the complexity of ornaments and particularly the magnificent windows glazed in stained glass referred to as “shebeke” in Azerbaijan. The magnificent sycamores within the fenced yard are older than the palace itself. This gem of architectural art was constructed during the rule of Huseyn khan, the grandson of Haji Chelebi khan who was the founder of the first sovereign khanate in Azerbaijan. Under the penname of ‘Mushtaghi’, Huseyn khan composed poems. Therefore, in some sources this palace is referred to as “Mushtaghi’s Castle”. One of the treasures of Azerbaijan medieval architecture is located on a hill in the upper part of the town. Arriving in Sheki both from different parts of the republic and from foreign countries, tourists wish to see this unique palace. Under the agreement signed in 1999 by and between the government of Azerbaijan and International Development Association in the framework of the “Protection of Cultural Heritage” project, the palace was renovated and regained its beauty anew.
According to the director of the “Yukharibash” state historical and architectural preserve, Tarana Abdullayeva, last year the Sheki town was visited by more than 14 thousand tourists.
