Hello,
I'm a professional translator with a degree (German and English)and 3 years of experience, both as a freelancer and as an in-house translator. I translate accurately from all of the Latin languages, including Catalan. My knowledge was acquired by living and travelling in the Latin countries.
Currently my major language pair is German-Portuguese, but my English is proficient - not of course to the point of translating into English.
My native language is Portuguese and Portuguese ONLY. Due to my experience in tourism and several in-house translations, I can assure that I am capable of translating into Brazilian Portuguese too (I am more than willing to accept a sample test).
I do not have any experience in literary or poem translation, but my major translation jobs are in the Economics field ( sometimes in Finance too) and in the technical field(machinery, surgery, cars). I've translated websites and tourist guides, etc.
Background:
I've accomplished to put together a watch glossary. It was quite problematic, as Portugal does not have a watch-making tradition.
I'm a born researcher, and terminology is my thing!
My prices start from ?0,04 and go up to ?0,07, depending on the urgency and of the level of the translation, and can be negotiated. |
