Languages and literature have been always my favorite subjects, so it was logical to let them be my guidelines when choosing the orientation of my academic formation. This is why I decided to enrol for an MA in Romance Languages (French and Spanish; Catholic University at Louvain, Belgium), completed afterwards with an Advanced Master in Latin American Literature at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, and an Advanced Master in Translation Studies at the Colegio de México.

During these last years (since 2010), I have been translating different kinds of texts (commercial, legal, touristic, general, social sciences, etc.) in different language combinations (Dutch, Spanish, English and French), and besides I have started to explore the fascinating universe of literary translation.

I consider that a good translator, besides knowing thoroughly the languages he or she works with, should have a broad general culture, be intelligent as well as clever, work accurately, be aware of inconsistencies in both source and target text and be reliable to the people he or she works with. I always keep these characteristics in mind while translating, and work on improving them all the time.
