I offer careful translations from French and Italian into UK and NZ English. There are thousands of translators offering
their services. Why choose me? I am passionate about translation. When I'm
translating I forget about everything else. For me, every translation is
a chance to produce the best possible text for my client. If this
involves research and learning more about the subject matter, all the
better. One of the things that I really love about being a translator is
the chance to expand my knowledge on all sorts of subjects. I am
interested in stuff! I read and listen and therefore bring wide knowledge to my
translation work. I also take great care and pay attention to detail. I am a qualified member of the UK Institute
of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) and a member of the New Zealand Society of Translators and Interpreters
(NZSTI). I was one of the organisers of NZSTI's Treaty
Times Thirty project. The project published a book of translations of
New Zealand's founding document, the Treaty of Waitangi, into 30 different
languages. I have lived in England, where I was educated
and gained a degree in French and Italian, and in France and in Italy and now
live in New Zealand. I have a post-graduate certificate in Translation Studies
from the Auckland University of Technology. When not translating I enjoy
appreciating and conserving the wonderful New Zealand outdoors, living
sustainably, running, gardening, botany, yoga and finding out about things. |
