Bio

I spent all my childhood in
Canada brought up by French parents. I went to English school as I was raised
in the English part of Montreal. At school, and with my friends and brothers
and sister, I spoke English, at home I spoke French. My parents returned to
France when I turned 12.

After my Master's degree, I
became a freelance translator as I had an opportunity to work with Digital Equipment France. I translated
some of their self-directed training courses alongside engineers. Later, I
translated my first book for Les Editions
de Mortagne
and that was truly an exhilarating experience! And in 1991,
I started working as a translator to Cabinet
Beau de Loménie
, an industrial property firm, where I stayed over 18
years. I spent all those years translating alongside jurists, lawyers and
engineers who taught me legal and technical translation.

In 2007, I
became the head of the translation department. I already knew how to deal with
stress as a translator but this was something beyond stress as I had to
organize and computerize three different departments. I was brought up in a
yoga environment, so it was very naturally that I used yoga techniques to cope
with this new life. And the more I practiced, the more it became obvious that I
wanted to share these practices with others! Six months later, I registered for
a 4-year teacher training in yoga and taught yoga and yoga nidra (relaxation)
for 9 years.

In 2009, I went
freelance again and in 2020 after completing a degree in legal translation I
became a certified translator.  I work
with industrial property firms, law firms and two translation agencies.
