I hold an MA in Translation Theory and Practice (specialisation: Scandinavian languages) from UCL, London (2009). I have been working as a translator since then, part-time at first, but in 2015 I launched my own business and took the full-time plunge. 90% of the texts I work with are medical in nature, including hospital reports, informed consent forms, patient questionnaires, patient information leaflets and various clinical trial documents. I provide high-quality medical translation in the following language pairs:
Swedish, Danish, Norwegian > English, French
English <> French (brought up bilingual in Canada)
I also translate more general texts, and I am a qualified secondary school teacher so would be very happy to work with education-related texts.
I am highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, and can easily recreate the formatting from a PDF into a Word file. Clients often ask me to work on files with especially tricky formatting, including complex tables - I can handle it!
Finally, I have my own copy of SDL Trados (2015) and can also work in MemoQ.
I look forward to working with you!
