I am a freelance translator from French and Italian to English and a content writer and editor with more than 20 years of experience in journalism (specialising in health) and corporate communications. I began translating professionally after gaining a master's with distinction in Translating Popular Culture from City University of London in 2015. I am licensed to use Trados Studio Freelance 2019.

My background in journalism means I am flexible, fast and accurate and able to turn my hand to a wide range of texts, whether as a translator, writer or editor.

I have just completed my first full-length book translation, Progress or Freedom, an analysis of the power technology companies by two French economists, which will be published by Palgrave Macmillan in September 2019.

Other recent translations include web content for an EU initiative to combat counterfeit medicines in Africa; press releases and web content for a major international film festival; a contract for an educational franchise and book extracts and promotional material for the publisher Flammarion.

I have also written English web content for the same EU anti-counterfeit medicines initiative and for an international food ingredients company.

I am interested in translating or writing creative texts on a wide range of topics, but particularly enjoy journalism, current affairs, literature and film.

I studied subtitling as part of my master's and have experience of Swift (Softel) and GTS software.
