At present, I am a freelance translator with a long experience in translation, localization and, for some time, in-house workflow management, including project management, QA, revision work, and translator evaluation, selection, management and training.

I specialize (as you can see on my profile details) in technical translations, and, also thanks to my master's degree in Engineering, I have in deep knowledge of scientific, mathematical and technical matters, subjects and standards, and the ability to understand both popular and new technologies (such as those presented in patents) in various fields, and the recognized (you can ask for references if you need) skills for using the right terms and the correct translation style according to each field or subject as far as I am able to do with my knowledge, experience and information sourcing and assessment ability.

My education background is also literary (I have studied even Latin and ancient Greek languages, which are the foundation of the Italian language and partially of the English language itself), and my interests have always spanned and still span to many directions, so you don't have to be concerned about any mixed, marketing oriented or general translation subjects or styles. I am meticulous about the right style and terminology for a given subject.

I have been translating and revising millions of words since my first translation in 1994, and I have known and experienced all aspects of the translation market and business.

Please, consider that I don't provide any revision or proofreading services any longer since a few years, except in rare cases for my most serious clients: I do prefer working on my own jobs and focusing on the quality of my own work, unless customers are ready to pay a fee based on how much work will be required for revising that specific translation, sometimes (unfortunately too often) requiring a partial or a total re-translation that many customers may not be able to pay for, since they have already paid for that "best rate" translation and now need a low rate "remedy for tragedy" from a real translator.

As regards my translation services, I am used to evaluate the text to be worked on, informing about my current availability at that time, or ability to work on the job (it could be out of my working fields) and answer or make my offer based on each single job as soon as possible, sometimes in minutes.
I am not used to bid or interested in bids, and I don't offer discounts for high volumes, since I sell intellectual products, not hardware supplies or stock materials by the pound. But I am always ready to discuss rates for a given job.

My rates are fair and make any serious customer or agency able to get a quality job and/or a good profit from a job, that will be performed by an Italian professional full time translator who was born and educated in Italy and lives in Italy, is serious and time spending on the jobs assigned and always ready to deliver on the agreed deadline or to inform about any deadline problems, if any, in good time.
