I am Catherine Girard-Veilleux, translator and ESL teacher. I have 7 years of volunteer translation experience on Freelang.com and Coursera (translate-coursera.org), 6 years as a freelancer specializing in literary translation and localization (all types, but mostly video games). I've been an ESL teacher at La Porte Ouverte for 2 years, I am an ESL teacher with iTutorGroup, and I am an editor/translator for MLG International. I am continuously educating myself with specialized courses (such as Traduversia's localization courses) as well as general translation courses. As a polyglot, I speak fluently: French (CA and INT), English (US/UK), Italian, and Spanish.
My studies: Bachelor's degree in Translation (August 2020, UQTR, Quebec, Canada) with a GPA of 3.3,Wellesley's Italian Language and Culture: Advanced(Current), and Traduversia's Introducción a la localización de videojuegos (Current). I have also been accepted into the Master's degree in Translation at UQTR, QC, Canada in Fall 2020.
