Bio

Born in Venezuela, moved to Spain as a teenager, I've had an interest in languages and linguistics from a very young age. I decided to start a BA in Spanish Language and Literature at Leon University (Spain). On my fourth year, I enrolled as an exchange student at Rikkyo University for a full academic year, during which I enrolled in and completed a Japanse language, culture and literature courses.

Videogames have always been a personal passion. After graduating, I received an Expert Diploma in Videogame Translation and Localization at the ISTRAD (Seville, Spain) as well as an MA in Translation and New Technologies: Software Localization and Multimedia Products. I have also obtained an MA in Education and I've worked from 2018 to 2020 as a secondary school teacher.

I have been working as a freelance translator since June 2019 and, in this time, I have translated a wide variety of texts in the field of localization -from app localization for the Google Play Store to e-commerce related web localization- as well as literary and education-related translation.

In addition to this, I have participated in numerous EN>ES and JP>ES fan translations and localization for tv shows and videogames, as I have a soft spot for Japanese pop culture, most of which can be checked on my personal blog.
