Bio


I translate, edit, proofread from Russian and Ukrainian to English, and can provide transcription as well. 

I studied Ukrainian, Russian, Polish
literature and languages and received a doctoral degree in 2000 from the University of Illinois at Chicago and taught writing and English as a Second Language at the City Colleges of Chicago.

In 2020, I received a Certification in Copy Editing from the California San Diego Extension Program. I have also taken copy editing and proofreading courses through the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA), and I'm a member of this organization.

Currently I am a freelance translator for RWS, Life Sciences; Palex Ltd, backdoor translation, and have worked for various other organizations and individuals.

I evaluate writing for two testing companies, Educational Testing Service and Pearson Testing.

I have done copy editing, proofreading and writing for the following companies and invididuals:
