Below are safety notices that must be observed when engaged in vehicle maintenance:
Wear safety glasses in order to protect your eyes.
A safety jack must be used to work on a vehicle’s underside when the vehicle has been raised.
Ensure that the lighter switch is set to “OFF,” unless a procedure requires otherwise.
The parking park must be on when working on a vehicle.
If the vehicle has automatic gear transmission, then the gear stick must be set in the “PARK” (park) gear, unless certain procedures require it to be set in another gear.
If the vehicle has manual gear transmission, then the gear stick must be set in reverse (when the engine is off) or neutral (when the engine is on), unless certain procedures require it to be set in a different gear.
Use exhaust extraction equipment when turning the vehicle on in order to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning.
Your body and clothing must be kept away from moving parts when the engine is running, especially the fan and belt.
In order to prevent serious burns, you should avoid touching metal that is at a high temperature. For example, the radiator, exhaust manifold, tailpipe, catalytic converter, and muffler.
Smoking is not permitted when working on a vehicle.
In order to prevent injury, you should remove rings, watches, necklaces and baggy clothing before starting work on a vehicle.
Long hair should be rolled up firmly at the back of your head.
Your hands and other limbs must never touch the fan blades.
The electric cooling fan may activate at any time when the temperature rises because the engine is running.
Therefore, you must only work on the electric cooling fan after you have ensured its power supply has been completely severed.
Warning:
Many brake linings contain asbestos fibers.
Therefore, you must be sure not to inhale any dust when repairing brake components.
Inhaling asbestos particles is harmful and can cause to cancer.
When cleaning a vehicle using pressurized air or brush, asbestos fibers harmful to your health may be present in dust or dirt that have accumulated in the vehicle’s brake assembly or clutch.
Cleaning work on a vehicle’s brake assembly or clutch should be undertaken whilst using a recommended specialized vacuum for cleaning asbestos fibers.
Dust and dirt should be handled in a way that prevents dust clouds from forming. For example, by using seal-able bags.
Seal-able bags must bear instructions for use from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. Moreover, you must notify the garbage disposal staff of the seal-able bags’ contents.
If you do not have vacuum bags for containing asbestos at hand, then cleaning must be carried out whilst keeping components wet.
If dust is still generated, then technicians should wear government-approved toxin and dust filtering masks.

Translation - English Chapter One: Introduction
Leadership is an important force linking people’s activities in business operations and organisation management (Yukl, 2013). It has therefore been an important research topic in the field of organisational [behaviour] science. Over the past several decades, people have become curious as to the reasons why Asian economic systems have enjoyed such vigorous development. This curiosity includes whether the force of development in east and south-east Asian nations such as Taiwan, Singapore, China, Korea, and Indonesia will be equal to that of the west. Thereupon, researchers using different observations have discovered that the organisation of the above-mentioned countries has been deeply influenced by Confucian culture and have also observed differences from western theories of leadership (Redding 1990; Westwood 1997; Cheng Bor-Shiuan, 1995). In Taiwan, local organisational psychology has begun to develop in accordance with these observations. Among them, the topics that have received the most attention from international academia are paternalistic leadership theories which actively describe interaction models between leaders and subordinates within Chinese organisations.
Paternalistic leadership theory refers to leadership styles that have been influenced by the five Confucian relations (五倫) and pan-familism (泛家族化). In such leaderships, senior leaders in Chinese businesses have a strong patriarchal quality with a clear leadership style, namely, that leaders have a huge amount of authority. Yet at the same time, such leaders have great compassion and care for their subordinates and demonstrate the moral qualities and personal integrity that leaders ought to display. Moreover, under a leader’s paternalistic style, subordinates may display model behaviours, including obedience out of awe (敬畏服從), repaying kindness out of gratitude (感恩圖報), and role-model imitation (認同效法) (Fan Jingli, Cheng Bor-Shiuan, 2000).

Translation - English Surgery took place in the supine position with routine disinfectant and the use of drapes. After administering 1% Lidocaine, an incision approximately 4cm long was made 3cm above the suprasternal notch. A curved incision cut the skin from the platysma, leaving free flaps of skin above and below. We cut open the white lining of the neck and saw that the right thyroid lobe was not adhering to the surrounding tissue but was instead attached to a tumor, approximately 1.5x15[sic]x1cm large. The thyroid lobe seemed normal in texture. We cut along the mid-line of the thyroid lobe to free it from the tumor. This exposed the tumor. We made a blunt dissection by along the edge of the tumor and completely removed it. We sent the tumor to frozen pathology. The report said it was: an adenomatous goiter. We stitched up the thyroid tissue and congealed the blood going to the wound. When we saw that the bleeding had stopped, we discontinued the stitching at the mid-line fascia and sub-dermal tissue. We then stitched the skin closed sub-dermally. Then, we dressed the wound and the surgery was complete. The surgery proceeded smoothly and the anaesthetic worked well. The patient lost approximately 5ml of blood.
