Spanish to Italian: Traducción poética General field: Art/Literary Detailed field: Poetry & Literature
Source text - Spanish I. Dejé la poesía en el tintero y saliste tú
Quisimos jugar
a hacer del invierno
una excusa para quitarnos la ropa
y terminamos haciéndonos la cama,
un día,
y otro,
y otro,
y ya era primavera en nuestra cara.
Intentamos dejar de mirarnos
anteponiendo nuestros miedos
a las ganas,
pero entonces nuestros ojos
se encontraron con todos ellos
cruzando la calle,
de la mano,
y no volvimos a verlos.
Pretendimos
controlar cada latido,
pausar el pecho cuando se hacía de día,
malgastar el corazón a la primera
para no dejar poesía en el tintero.
[...]
Pero entonces nos descubrimos
buscando nuestra cara por la calle,
el café de media tarde
empezaba a saber a un día entero
entre las mantas de tu cama,
desaprendí a dormir
si tu voz no me decía esa noche
que el día siguiente nos veríamos,
todas las paredes de mi casa
protestaban por tu ausencia
y cada reparo comenzaba a diluirse
por las paredes de mi espalda
cada vez que me acariciabas el pelo
y me decías que besarme
era como una nube.
Y entonces yo,
en vez de bajarte el cielo,
te subí a él.
Nos quedamos aquí,
te dije.
Seamos una estrella
que se cumple.
Nunca tuve tantas ganas
de ponerle a mi rutina tu nombre
como ahora.
Es como añadirle una exclamación
a un puñado de frases corrientes.

Translation - Italian I. Ho affidato la poesia all'inchiostro e sei apparsa tu
Volevamo giocare
a fare dell’inverno
una scusa per toglierci i vestiti
e abbiamo finito per disfare il letto,
giorno
dopo giorno,
dopo giorno,
e sui nostri volti era già primavera.
Provavamo a smettere di guardarci,
mettendo le nostre paure
davanti al desiderio,
ma poi i nostri occhi
si sono scontrati
tra i passanti,
mano nella mano,
e non li abbiamo più ritrovati.
Volevamo
controllare ogni battito,
frenare il polso alle prime luci del giorno,
consumare il cuore tutto in una volta
per non affidare la poesia all'inchiostro.
[..]
Ma poi ci siamo ritrovate
a cercarci per la strada,
il caffè del pomeriggio
terminava sempre
tra le lenzuola del tuo letto,
ed io dormivo
solo con la tua promessa
che ci saremmo riviste il giorno successivo,
le pareti di tutta la casa
rivendicavano la tua assenza,
e i rimorsi cominciavano a
scivolarmi addosso
ogni volta che mi accarezzavi i capelli
e mi dicevi che baciare me
era come toccare una nuvola.
E allora io,
invece di darti il cielo,
ti ci ho portata.
Restiamo qui,
ti ho detto.
Saremo un desiderio
che si avvera.
Non ho mai desiderato
così tanto
di chiamare le mie abitudini col tuo nome.
É come aggiungere un punto esclamativo
dopo una serie di frasi banali.
