Introduction & Working Philosophy:
Accurate, but smooth, and easily understandable. With a decade of interpretation and translation experience, I have learned that success in my work is defined by my ability to breakdown and effectively eliminate the communicative barrier between my client and their target audience. Providing an almost seamless transfer of knowledge, feelings, and facts.
Well written Korean is very tricky: even among native Korean users, I am highly skilled at grammar and polishing Korean texts. Korean grammar is special: it is a language that especially shines when spacing and good grammar are executed skillfully and deliberately.
A core value of my service is my strict adherence to professional standards and utmost respect for confidentiality policies when translating highly sensitive materials.
After 8 years of freelance translation work, I have built up my linguistic specialties by providing services for hundreds of translation, transcreation, and localization projects the following industries: legal, scientific, blockchain,
marketing, commercial, cultural, medical, and education fields. These projects included translations ranging from basic documentation to tech manuals and professional manuals. I have even had the pleasure of presenting these skills as a speaker in conferences or as a lecturer.
My translation specialties are also derived from a number of working experiences.
As an in-house translator for the Mexican Embassy in Korea for 2 years I:provided translation and linguistic assistance to the Mexican ambassador to Korea, submitted political and legal articles, and reviewed and verified core embassy translations. I also worked as an intern translator for the Korean Gas Corporation based in Colima, Mexico – providing technical interpretation services related to construction and electrical services, and then briefing these translated materials to foreign counterparts located in region.
Academic Background & Skillsets:
Alongside my broad and highly diverse working background, I have received education from a variety of world renown universities to bolster not only my translation and interpretation skills, but to provide me with in-depth knowledge in the fields related to my services so to provide a wide array of tailored services to my clients.
I have earned two degrees from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS): A Bachelor of Economics specialized in international economics and law from and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Linguistics and Literature. I have also received a Master of Science in Governance of Risk and Resources from Heidelberg University in Germany. In 2021 I earned a third degree in Psychology and currently I am working on a second master in Medical Translation.
