Bio
My
qualifications include over 20 years of experience as a translator, editor and
journalist.I am knowledgeable regarding
all aspects of translation editing process. My hands-on experience is complemented by an M.B.A. in international
business, M.S. in economics, and B.S. in journalism. Since 2012 I became a
freelance journalist-translator and established Content-4-Business LLC to
provide business and personal finance content to media outlets in the US
Hispanic market and Latin America, including Dow Jones; The Wall Street Journal
Americas; Latin Trade and America Economia. As editor in chief, I transformed
Construccion PanAmericana and Mineria Pan Americana from heavy equipment
catalogs into more journalistic trade business magazines with featured stories,
interviews, and news covering regional sectors, which earned positive feedback
from clients, sales representatives, and clients.Previously, I planned and executed the launch
of Tu Dinero and expanded paid circulation to 25,000 in less than one
year.While with Dinero, the leading
Colombian business magazine, I directed the editorial department and launched
various initiatives to promote entrepreneurs and venture capital including the
first Business Plan Competition in Colombia. Earlier in my career with El Tiempo, a leading
media conglomerate in Colombia, I was selected to participate as a visiting
editor for The Wall Street Journal when several newspapers in Latin America
formed an alliance to create The Wall Street Journal Americas.I have also authored a personal finance book.
