Source text - English In 2002, Ayla’s visionary founder saw an opportunity to create a unique development when the Government of Jordan invited investors to submit proposals for a 3 million sqm plot of land in Aqaba.
At first glance, the land would have appeared barren to many, filled with old landmines left behind by military forces of countries previously unsettled but are now at peace. But for the Founders, their first glance was that of inspiration. The plot presented an opportunity to build their dream, to leave a legacy.
The Founder’s vision encompassed a momentous development that aimed to inspire the lives of Jordanians as well as all those who visited. So much so that he requested the Government to consider increasing the size of the land provided to 4.3 million sqm. A request that couldn’t be denied and granted only after sharing his dream.
Ayla Oasis Development Company was established, creating the blueprint for the development known simply as AYLA, with the vision to build an environmentally, socially and economically sustainable destination to support Jordan’s aggressive economic growth strategy.

للوهلة الأولى ، كانت الأرض تبدو قاحلة للكثيرين، ومليئة بالألغام الأرضية القديمة التي خلفتها القوات العسكرية لدول غير مستقرة في السابق ولكنها الآن في سلام. لكن بالنسبة للمؤسسين، كانت النظرة الأولى ملهمة. حيث قدم المقترح لهم فرصة لبناء حلمهم ولترك بصمة تاريخية على هذه الأرض.
تضمنت رؤية المؤسس تطورًا بالغ الأهمية يهدف إلى إلهام حياة الأردنيين وكذلك كل من زارها. لدرجة أنه طلب من الحكومة النظر في زيادة مساحة الأرض المقدمة إلى 4.3 مليون متر مربع. طلب لا يمكن رفضه بل ومُنح ما قد طلب بعد الإفصاح عن حلمه.
تأسست شركة واحة أيلة للتطوير، واضعة مخططًا للتنمية العمرانية في المنطقة المعروفة ببساطة باسم "أيلة" مع رؤية لبناء وجهة مستدامة بيئيًا واجتماعيًا واقتصاديًا لدعم استراتيجية النمو الاقتصادي القوية في الأردن.
