Source text - English Tanganyika became independent in December 1961 and Julius Nyerere was its first Prime Minister. A communist rebellion in January 1964 toppled the sultanate of Zanzibar and set up a republic. The revolution saw the island’s African majority overturn the island’s long-established Arab ruling class.
After the revolution in Zanzibar, President Nyerere proposed that Tanganyika and Zanzibar form a union to which Zanzibar´s leader Karume agreed leading to the formation of Tanzania in April 1964. Julius Nyerere became thFollowing e first President of the newly formed Tanzania and Karume was the first Vice President.
Translation - Swahili Tanganyika ilipata uhuru Desemba 1961 na Mwalimu Julius Nyerere akawa Waziri Mkuu wake wa kwanza. Uasi wa Kikomunisti januari 1964 uliangusha usultani wa Zanzibar na kuanzisha jamhuri. Mapinduzi hayo yalishuhudia Waafrika walio wengi visiwani humo wakipindua tabaka la utawala wa Kiarabu lililodumu kwa muda mrefu.
Baada ya mapinduzi ya Zanzibar, Rais Nyerere alipendekeza Tanganyika na Zanzibar ziunde muungano ambao Karume aliyekuwa kiongozi wa Zanzibar alikubali pendo hilo na kuelekea kuundwa kwa Tanzania mnamo Aprili 1964. Mwalimu Julius Nyerere akawa Rais wa kwanza wa nchi hii mpya ya Tanzania na Karume akawa Makamu wa Kwanza wa Rais.

Having gained demonstrable knowledge and experience through the advantage of being a native speaker in both Swahili, Amharic and Tigrinya languages, as well as possessing a freelancer experience have extended me in becoming well articulated and eloquent in the above languages over the years. This coupled up with the fact that I spent a significant amount of my childhood in East African countries namely Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia have also been of great advantage to my fluency and effective communication.
Currently I am a certified Medical interpreter and have a demonstrable experience from the last five years since becoming a freelancer. I have a boosted experience of professional translation and interpretation in medical and business fields summing up to 3 years. My educational background entails a Diploma in procurement, and I believe this is of advantage in my interpretation of information which entails business and accounting details.
