Source text - Arabic وتميز حكم المحافظين بنزوعه الأكثر وضوحاً ومبدئية إلى قيم الرأسمالية الغربية وبتبنيهم برنامجاً تدريجياً شاملاً من لأجل الفصل بين الدولة و المجتمع و بدء مشروع التخلي التدريجي للدولة عن مهمة الرعاية الإجتماعية و فسح المجال أمام حركة الإستثمار و رؤوس الأموال عن طريق تقليل الضرائب. و قد انتقلت تاتشر من تصور فلسفي أيدويولوجي متصلب حاربت به النقابات و كسرت شوكتها ثم نقلت ملكيات الدولة العامة في الشركات الكبرى و حولتها إلى القطاع الخاص و فتحت الباب أمام المواطنين لإقتناء أسهمها و شملت سياسة التخصيص أكثر من عشرين شركة كبير منها شركة الحديد الصلب و شركة الغاز و الكهرباء و الهاتف و النفط و المطارات. كما أعطت لمستأجري المساكن الحكومية الحق في شراء و تملك مساكنهم و غيرها من الإجراءات التي أجبرت فيها الدولة على التنازل عن ممتلكاتها لصالح المواطنين. فكانت النتيجة هي أن شهدت بريطانيا في الثمانيات حركة إقتصادية وانتعاشاً نسبياً وتدفق رؤوس الأموال الأجنبية وتكونت قناعة الناخب البريطاني بالفوائد المباشرة الملموسة لحكم المحافظين.
Translation - English Under the Conservatives, the government was clearly more inclined to western capitalist values and principles. The conservatives adopted a piecemeal comprehensive program for the separation of state and society, and thus, step-by-step, forgoing the state’s commitment of its role as a provider of social welfare. This program paves the way for investment and private capital flows through tax reduction. Indeed, Thatcher’s philosophy revolved around an unyielding ideology through which she waged a war against and over-powered trade unionism. Government-owned properties in large businesses were now privatized. People were now allowed to buy shares, and this affected over 20 large businesses such as the steel, gas, electricity, phone, petrol, and airports. Council- house tenants now had the right to buy and own their abodes. Such were but a few measures which made the state pass on its properties to the public / its citizens. The ultimate result was a 1980s Britain with an unprecedented relative economic boom and an influx of foreign capital- all this led to a firm conviction among voters of the direct tangible benefits of having the Conservatives in power.
