Experience
Years of experience: 22. Registered at ProZ.com: Feb 2024. Became a member: Feb 2024.
I studied poetry and trained to be an editor, then went to law school. After joining the California bar in 1988 I moved to France, eventually obtaining a PhD in international human rights and comparative law and becoming a full-time translator. I work for agencies and direct clients and my translations run the gamut from "legal" translations (contracts, pleadings, leases, etc.) and corporate communications to the catalogue for an annual art and wine festival. I also translate pro bono for ATD Fourth World and edit articles and books written in English by French and other international authors.
