Source text - English She began her traditional modern dance and ballet training as a child at the Juilliard School in NYC, and received a B.A. in Dance from Bennington College in 1971. In pursuit of a flexible movement language, she studied world music, Western music (piano and guitar), mime, tai chi, experimental theater (Open Theater), experiential anatomy with Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen at the School for Body/Mind Centering, and the perceptual research of J.J. Gibson.
Throughout the '70s she investigated diverse approaches to dance improvisation, including solo; collaboration with musicians; with Daniel Nagrin's Workgroup--exploring dramatic qualities of movement interaction; and performance with various contact improvisation groups in the U.S. and in Europe.
