Source text - German Die Xetra Erlöse setzten sich im Geschäftsjahr 2000 zu 85% aus Handelsgebühren zusammen, die von der Anzahl und Volumen der Transaktionen abhängig sind. Das Transaktionsvolumen stieg in 2000 um 128% auf 202,9 Mio. Transaktionen, der Börsenumsatz damit um 28% auf 5.201 Mrd.€. Mit einem Handelvolumen von 3.571 Mrd. € wurde die Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse zum größten Kassamarkt Europas.
Die Eurex Erlöse stammen in 2000 zu 99% aus Handelsgebühren, die von Anzahl und Typ der gehandelten Kontrakte abhängig sind. In 2000 wurden 454 Mio. Kontrakte über Eurex gehandelt, eine Steigerung von 20% im Vergleich zum Vorjahr. Mit diesem Kontraktvolumen hat die Eurex erneut ihre Rolle als grösster Terminmarkt der Welt unter Beweis gestellt.
Translation - English For the fiscal year ending in 2000, 85% of Xetra’s revenue was derived from trading fees which are dependent upon the number and volume of transactions. In that same year, trading volume rose 128% to 202.9 mil. transactions while the Exchange’s turnover increased 28% to €5,201 bn. The Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse (Frankfurt Securities Exchange) became the largest European spot market with a trading volume of €3,571 bn.
Trading fees, which are dependent on the number and type of traded contracts, account for 99% of Eurex’s (Europe Exchange) revenue for the year 2000. During the same year, 454 mil. contracts were completed on Eurex, an increase of 20% from the prior year. This contract volume again gives evidence to Eurex’s role as the largest futures exchange in the world.
