[Claim 3] For a multiplex bus line that interconnects each of the multiple nodes installed in various locations in the vehicle each having multiplex communication functions, which is an on vehicle multiplex communication system that conducts cyclic communication with a token passed around in order between nodes, each node, has a reception means to receive data from the multiplex bus line, and when the received token data from the reception means contains its own address, the node indicates whether, or not, its own sleep condition is satisfied and using the HALT information causes the token with the data set to the address of the next node to be transmitted by the transmission means, the HALT information storage means stores the HALT information which was transmitted from all nodes including its own, and when the address within the token data received by the previous reception means is its own address, and in the case of the sleep condition of all other nodes being satisfied and its own sleep condition is established according to the HALT information which was stored in the previous HALT information storage means, using HALT information indicating its own sleep condition is satisfied, an address which is not one of the other node addresses is set as the data and the token is transmitted to the token dissipation handling means, and when the token received from the previous reception means is not its own address, it is shifted to sleep mode by the No. 1 sleep shift means confirming that all other nodes satisfy sleep condition and its own sleep condition is established according to the HALT information which was stored in the previous HALT information storage means, and After the previous token dissipation handling means has transmitted the data set to an address not corresponding to any of the other nodes, it is shifted to sleep mode using the No. 2 sleep shift means which is a feature of the sleep control device.
