Translation - English Officially Malta is a bilingual country. Actually this tiny state is a residence of complex linguistic co-existence. Since the times of the Johannites’ rule bilingualism has become an essential part of Maltese life. Nowadays practically all Maltese people have an excellent command of both English and Maltese; moreover, about 50% of the population fluently speak Italian, as in the 1950-s the Italian channel was holding complete control over the Maltese television, so children learnt this language before going to school, where they were to study Maltese and English.

I was born in Russia, in the small town of Snezhinsk in the Urals on January 20, 1983. In 2000 I finished high-school and as by that time I had already felt that foreign languages are the most amazing and exciting phenomena in the world I made up my mind to master my knowledge in this direction. I entered the faculty of economics and management in the Urals State Technical University where I specialized in translation and translation studies. In 2005 I graduated from the university being qualified as a linguist and a translator with two foreign languages: English and French. My specialist areas are specified in section "Fields of Expertise". As to my professional experience in September 2006-April 2007 I was employed with the ceramic plant OOO ZKS (Snezhinsk) where I did oral consecutive translation for Italian technicians. At present I am engaged in freelance translation and copywriting with a number of Russian and foreign agencies.
