Learning safety through personal experience, like a child touching a hot item is hurtful, harmful and foolish.
Safe practices developed from the experience of others in the use of this equipment and associ‧ated equipment is described in this manual.
Research, development, and field experience have evolved reliable equipment with safe installation, operation, and servicing procedures.
Accidents occur when equipment is improperly used or maintained.
The reason for the safe practices may not always be given.
Some are based on commonsense; others may require technical volumes to explain.
It is wiser to follow the rules.
Read and understand these safe practices before attempting to install, operate, or service the equipment.
Comply with these procedures as applicable to the particular equipment used and their instruction manuals, for personal safety and for the safety of others.
Failure to observe these safety practices may cause serious injury or death.
When safety becomes a habit the equipment can be used with confidence.
Operation of this machine involves various moving and rotating parts that could prove to be dangerous.
Follow the precautions in this General Safety Section, as well as those throughout this manual, for your personal safety and the safety of people in the area that may be affected.
Connect and maintain electrical grounds to the equipment according to local codes and the National Electrical Code.
After installation and regularly thereafter, check that all electrical connections are tight.
Shut OFF, LOCK OUT and TAG OUT power whenever leaving machine unattended or before servicing.
Inspect the primary power cord frequently for damage or cracking of the jacket cover.
Bare wiring can kill.
