I am a native Swede, born and raised in Stockholm. I moved to the US in 2004, but I maintain close relations to all my friends and family members "back home". I keep my Swedish fresh by reading, listening and speaking Swedish almost every day and I also travel frequently to Sweden.

I have been in the translation and localization industry since 1999, working mainly as a Project Manager. During my career I have performed a lot of translations from English, German and French into Swedish. Furthermore, I have done a large amount of proofreading, editing and QA/Online QA work of Swedish translations. I also do draft/back translations from Swedish to English (for internal use only).
My English is excellent and I have been taking numerous English courses at a nearby college, mainly for fun but also to evolve my English skills.

In my line of work I have worked with many types of clients, types of translations, fields and subjects, e.g. automotive, software localization, market surveys, marketing material and of course all sorts of general subjects.

In terms of project management tools, I know PluNet and XTRF. As for CAT Tools, I know SDL Studio (Trados), MemoQ and MemSource. I have MemoQ and MemSource. I'm also used to a number of different file formats and know a trick or two of how to make things work.
