Source text - French Longueur, ampleur, broderies, tissus chatoyants, tout est inspiré par un désir de transformation féerique qui contraste avec de la volonté de simplicité de la tenue de ville. Cet esprit d'exception de la vie aux lumières justifie toutes les métamorphoses. Le seul souci : rendre belle et resplendissante. Nous avons donné des noms de musiciens à ces robes que nous avons souhaitées aussi immatérielles que la musique.
Translation - English Long, full, embroidered, in shimmering fabrics: everything about these gowns is inspired by the desire for a magical transformation – a desire that contrasts with the need for simplicity in city wear. This extraordinary quest for a resplendent life opens the door to every sort of metamorphosis. The unique goal is to make women beautiful and dazzling. We have given the dresses musicians’ names, reflecting our efforts to make them as ethereal as music itself.

Experience
Years of experience: 32. Registered at ProZ.com: Jan 2005. Became a member: Apr 2006.
I have spent thirty-two years turning all sorts of French texts into very readable, very smooth English.
I can tackle a wide range of subjects, and specialise in the following areas: literature and poetry, sociology, philosophy, art and fashion, the humanitarian sector, editorial, governance, tourism, football, popular culture, beauty and cosmetics, food, third sector, public and press relations and general business (sales, marketing, distribution, advertising, etc.). I can also translate and edit Spanish texts that fall into these areas.
What I aim for when I translate is perfection: translations that do not sound like translations. A great deal of careful interpretation and rewriting therefore goes into my translation work, nourished by my work as a fiction writer (of novels, flash fiction and poetry). I adopt this approach with every translation project, from one-page articles to full-length books, such as ALOE, Le Foot, Humans and their Errors and Digressive Society.
Pricing is per source word and my rates are very reasonable, with discounts for large volumes and NGOs.
