Set up tags/placeables to replace specific terms in source

Hello,
I have some files that the labels and other proper nouns are required to be kept in English.
I am wondering whether there is a way to replace these terms with tags/placeables in SDL Trados Studio 2009, eg, 'PachPen' can be shown as a tag in the source other than the original text.
Would it be possible to get it done with Regex and how could it be done?

Otherwise perhaps the best approach is to add them to a termbase and this way they will become placeables for you to work with. This also gives you the ability to run a QA check against the Termbase and find any translations that did not use the terms you wanted.

Hi Paul,
Thank you for answering.
The original file is .xlsx format. I wonder whether it is possible to edit the excel file and get the tags in Studio Trados. By the way, could I get any guidelines for this process?
Thank you again!
Leo

But with word lists like this it would not be too practical. It may be better to add them as a variable list or into your termbase as previously mentioned.
But if you want to add them as tags in Excel then just addd the words as placeables in here for the Excel filetype... before you open the excel file and create a project:
