Bio
Dear Ladies & Gentlemen,
Subject: Professional Translator (Medbiopharma, Engineering,
Finance, Law, Marketing) - Millions of Words Translated
Would you happen to need a productive and versatile translator with a Ph.D. background?
Throughout my extensive career, I have worked as a
translator, accumulating experience in translating numerous medical materials
utilizing the EudraGMP terminology of the European Medicines Agency. I also
served as a research fellow at the O. Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology, contributing
to international projects. Additionally, I have provided translation services
for Kristar company, the exclusive distributor of GC Corporation (Japan), 3M,
Rhein, and more. My interpreting skills have been employed at various venues.
Notably, I have been a part of Morion Publishers, specializing in medical,
pharmaceutical, financial, and legal translations.
I have a rich professional background, including:
Active involvement in the
implementation of International Accounting Standards.
Experience at ExpoPromo Group event
media company, where I coordinated the US expo portal's
hi-tech news section.
Coordinated on-site technical
(especially structural & electrical) translations with Japan Airport Consultants.
Office management role at Ove Arup
& Partners International Ltd. at Philip Morris Int. construction site
On-site responsibilities at Procter
& Gamble's pad facility as a construction safety inspector.
Worked at Hagler Bailly Consulting as
a technical translator on the World Bank’s project.
In the 1990s, while working on VNIPI
Transgas materials, I had the opportunity to translate the Royal Dutch
Shell Production Sharing Agreement with the Ukrainian Government. This document navigates the former Soviet corridors of power ever since.
These experiences have equipped me with diverse skills and
expertise across various industries.
I have been
a lecturer at the Kyiv Institute for Translators and Interpreters, specifically
teaching the post-graduate technical translation course. Currently, I embrace
the freelancer's lifestyle.
Outside of my professional pursuits, I am passionate about
diving and have significant experience in underwater archaeology. Besides, I have translated
a monograph “Geoecology & Archeology of the Northern Black Sea Coast & Shelf”
and authored several academic articles in this field.
My academic
expertise lies in the Ukrainian language and literature, and I hold a CertifiedPro certification.
I use the latest versions of all my CAT tools, including
Across, SDL TRADOS, Phrase, and MemoQ. Quality assurance measures are in
place.
I would be delighted to contribute to your projects if you seek a translator with a solid background and track record of delivering quality work.
