Powwow Report for India - Bangalore (Nov 3 2012)

First of all, I would like to thank all the participants who could attend the powwow. It was a great event where we could meet fellow translators and also agencies. We had 21 participants and it was a good number for a first-time meet that we conducted.

We also had a session on localization and the problems faced by technical writers when their documents are localized. It was a very interesting session.

We had a short session on translation tools where an overview was given to translators about the benefits of using CAT tools.

Lastly, we had an open session where we had an open discussion about the relations between translators and freelancers, their issues and some views on how to do it better.

The whole event was much appreciated by the participants and we would like to have such events more frequently.
