Description:

2 volumes. I copy from the Prologue to the 1st. edition:
"[...]it is useless to tryto always find the equivalent in one language of a term used in the other; to do so also runs the risk of not providing the equivalent of the term in the other language, but of creating a pseudoterm which only sounds similar to the words actually used in the other language.
To avoid these dangers, we have provided the equivalent of each word only when one actually exists in the other language. When there is no precise equivalent, the meaning of the word has been explained."

I have found many individual entries to be more accurate and/or provide more options for the different shades of meaning than other dictionaries in my library. One volume for English to Spanish, another for Spanish to English: this means that a large number of terms are covered. I find the way it is organized particularly pleasing. For example, all the "principles" are grouped together. There are different entries for related but similar words, which is makes searching easier than having to read through a compact list of derived terms. I sincerely recommend this dictionary.	5
Jul 10, 2013	Giselda Bazán	In find this dictionary excellent. It is important to remark that Guillermo Cabanellas is a lawyer, with experience in law. Therefore, his explanations are very accurate. I checked it carefully and I did not find the mistakes that I found in other dictionaries whose author is a linguistic, not a lawyer.	5
