- ett adjektiv som används om produkter (ofta kosmetika) där tillverkaren anser sig ha vidtagit speciella åtgärder för att minimera risken för allergi. Såvitt jag vet finns det ingen vetenskaplig eller juridisk definition, utan det är bara en allmän indikation på att produkten bör ha lägre risk för allergi än andra.
"Hypoallergenisk" förekommer också, men eftersom det heter "allergen" och inte "allergenisk" är det mest logiskt med "hypoallergen". "Hypoallergenisk" får nog betraktas som en slarvig översättning. Own research - by Karin and Folke Nettelblad (Folia Textproduktion HB)
