            • カメオ出演（カメオしゅつえん、Cameo appearanceあるいはCameo role）とは、俳優や歌手、監督、時には政治家やスポーツ選手などがゲストとしてほんの短い時間、映画やドラマ、舞台に出演する事。著名人が起用される場合がほとんどであり、脇役でありながら独特の存在感を占めるケースが多いため、遠目からでもはっきりと分かる装飾品のカメオからそう呼ばれるようになった。監督や主演俳優（女優）の友人や、原作者、作品のモデルとなった人物や作品に由縁の深い人物などが端役で出演する事も多い。日本では、クレジットで「特別出演」や「友情出演」として記載される事が多く、カメオ出演という言い方はあまり一般的ではない。日本国外では単に「Cameo」と呼ばれることもある。 Wikipedia - by Yasutomo Kanazawa
