- (2005) Aus "Password" und "Fishing" gebildete Bezeichnung, die das Ausspähen von Zugangsinformationen unter Zuhilfenahme psychologischer Tricks bezeichnet. In sogenannten Phishing-Mails wird beispielsweise behauptet, es gebe ein Problem mit der Bank und man müsse sein Passwort überprüfen.
