- Generalno gledano, pojam rizika odnosi se na manju ili veću neizvesnost vezano za očekivani ishod poslovne aktivnosti preduzeća. Međutim, treba razlikovati dve osnovne vrste rizika : (a) poslovni rizik, i (b) finansijski rizik.
(a) Poslovni rizik – determinišu neizvesnosti vezane za očekivani poslovni dobitak. Okosnicu ovog rizika čine “fiksni troškovi” koji ostaju “kruti” (neelastični) na kratkoročne oscilacije u obimu poslovne aktivnosti.
(b) Finansijski rizik – determiniše neizvesnost budućeg neto dobitka. Okosnicu ovog rizika čine “fiksni rashodi finansiranja” koji se ne mogu prilagoditi kratkoročnim oscilacijama poslovnog dobitka.
Preduzeće koje angažuje obe pomenute vrste fiksnih troškova (poslovne i finansijske) izlaže se dvostrukom riziku – poslovnom i finansijskom, pri čemu se njihovo kombinovano delovanje naziva “kombinovani rizik”.
Izloženost preduzeća navedenim rizicima, pretpostavlja postojanje adekvatne metode za merenje i kvantitativno izražavanje rizika. Jedna od takvih metoda
