- Rukovanje predstavlja niz signala kojim se potvrđuje mogućnost obavljanja komunikacije ili prenosa informacija između računara i drugih uređaja. Hardversko rukovanje je razmena signala preko posebnih provodnika (različitih od provodnika za prenos podataka) u kojima svaki uređaj pokazuje svoju spremnost za prenos. Softversko rukovanje sastoji se od signala prenesenih preko istih provodnika koji se koriste za prenos podataka, kao u modemskim komunikacijama preko telefonskih linija. - In the context of computers, handshaking indicates hardware or software to establish or maintain two machines or programs in synchronisation. Handshaking often requires the exchange of messages or packets of data between two systems. Hardware handshaking signals between two computers which are carried by voltage levels or pulses on wires. There are many handshaking protocols for software handshaking. Basically, the handshaking protocol send a "hello" message to the receiving system and get a "ok" responce.
