- Antiutopie je de facto opak utopie, myšlenka fiktivní společnosti, která se vyvinula špatným směrem, má zásadní nedostatky (totalitní forma vlády, omezování osobní svobody) vzniklé přehnáním jednoho nebo více principů.[zdroj?]
Dystopie na rozdíl od antiutopie ukazuje společnost, jejíž občané jsou neskrývaně utlačováni politickým systémem. Je protikladem utopie.
