tuna tagging
Recovery rate (taux de recapture) is low to begin with because tagging away from purse seine fishery. Currently recovering approx 700 to 800 tags (les poissons marqués) per month. Work will come later to associate the position of catch with the tags from the PS fishery. Currently most tags recovered only with a well number and these must be correlated with the vessels’ log book to achieve this.
