English term or phrase:
continental drift

English term
continental drift
Wegener's Continental Drift theory was not readily accepted by the science community of his day. It was difficult to conceive of large continents plowing through the sea floor to move to new locations. (kids.earth.nasa.gov)
The fossil record supports and gives credence to the theories of continental drift and plate tectonics. (enchantedlearning.com)
According to the continental drift theory, the supercontinent Pangaea began to break up about 225-200 million years ago, eventually fragmenting into the continents as we know them today. (USGS)

(Wikipedia)
We are using Renal Failure in the US. Check ICD 10 categories. |
Let's wait for ICD 11 :-) http://apps.who.int/classifications/icd11/browse/l-m/en#/http%3a%2f%2fid.who.int%2ficd%2fentity%2f412389819 |
We'll cross that bridge when we'll come to it :). I am not arguing with you Evgeny. I think that insufficiency is a very good and descriptive term. And I am going to hold on to it for as long as I can. For example, MV prolapse is not really a disease. Many people live with it without any problems. But the heart is pumping insufficient stroke volume. It's a very precise definition and most if not all MD's know exactly what you are talking about. |
