: I'm not at all sure that 'prix plancher' really conveys correctly the idea of 'cost floor' / It's the floor set by how much it costs to produce; I'm not sure 'prix' is correct for this kind of cost, and rather tends here to translate 'floor price'

why not ? I'm still looking for references just to be 100% sure.

rendement
le rendement dépend de l'offre et de la demande régionales et est limité par le cout minimum et le prix maximum du marché
prix plancher et prix plafond
(Price ceiling is the highest amount you can charge for a product. Floor price is the amount you pay for a product right from the retail merchant.)
un plancher défini par les coûts de production, et un plafond déterminé par le marché
on ne peut pas vendre moins cher que le prix ed revient, et pas plus cher que ce que le marché accepte

Please give details so I can check into it for you; norammly, whenever a post is hidden, you will receive a notification explaining the reason.
The 'market ceiling' is the maximum sale price the market will stand; you can apply any price-tag you like to your products, but if it is way above the going market rate, you won't sell many!
So your pricing has to fall between these two limits, and where you pitch it determines your profitability.
