CONTEXT: set of regulations on new/ existing investment products in France.
"Les instruments admis à la négociation sur un marché, par opposition aux instruments mentionnés ci-dessous, peuvent être des titres en capital ou donnant accès au capital, des titres participatifs ou des titres de créances."
I was going to translate it as "equity security or security with access to equities" until I saw "titre participatif".
Should I just use "equity security" to cover both, use the French term in italics or something else entirely?
Any help appreciated.

If you want to put something in parenthesis, use a laundry list of the usual suspects that can result in dilution of the share capital -- mainly, exchange-traded warrants, convertible bonds and all those O-acronym 'hybrids' beloved of French issuers (Océane, Obsar, etc. -- too numerous to list, hence the donnant-accès shorthand).
BTW, this is NOT about stock futures and options traded on futures and options exchanges.

As far as corporations are concerned, the equity capital is divided into shares (titres de capital). The other securities considered above are not shares but have the same rights as shares.
