Discussion

Scott Evan Andrews Jun 27, 2012:
focus not on what processed means, it's technically completely legally edible
Dylan Edwards (asker) Jun 27, 2012:
I get the picture. In English, I would expect "chicken ham", "chicken bacon" etc. to be processed rubbish - but I haven't noticed this one in Czech before.

chicken ham

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkey_ham

if it works for the turkey, and wiki's pegged it down, ham can be used as the second word for anything...I believed I tried even a rabbit ham at Terno...:)...just never, never ask here or elsewhere just how they make the stuff...

in fact, look at this UK company shamelessly selling chicken bacon...if there can be turkey ham, and chicken bacon, then it stands to reason that in that wide world of food products and their marketing, there is room for the unlikely chicken ham:

Thanks. So it's a product, thorougly processed, is it? Does this mean that the "pork ham" is not really ham, but likewise processed?

Ah! So it's to do with the way it's prepared - not the part of the chicken? Thank you.
