I am translating an article about infections in commerical chicken flocks and how the bugs are getting resistant to the agents used to control them.
"Afnemende gevoeligheid speelt houders parten".
I see van Dale has 'play tricks on' for 'parten spelen', but I don't think this is the best to describe what the effect is on the keepers of these chickens.
Any ideas much appreciated!
