Het gaat om het woord 'ontkleden' - is dismantled hier de juiste vertaling?

Clarification Sorry for the confusement; the Dutch title of the book is Wetboek van Burgerlijke Rechtsvordering ont(k)leed - I would like the word ontkleed to be translated into English. I had come up with (...) analysed and dismantled... so I am looking for a better word for "ontkleed" in this context.

Mouche: please put context -- which in this case includes the title you are translating -- in context field of the question, not in the 'write-in' classification field.

Nee, ik zie het nu ook, het is wel een DU-EN vraag, maar het is verwarrend omdat de "source" in het Engels wordt gegeven.

demystify

in this specific context; demistify means 'Make (a difficult subject) clearer and easier to understand' (Oxford dico), or figuratively to in strip away the archaic and obscure terminology to reveal the actual meaning

You could also say 'analysed and clarified'.

I would expect (or at least hope) that the author(s) explain their objectives in a foreword or the like, which could help you understand what they meant with the title.
