for Applied Optical Technology -270 Orientation to Lens Surfacing
This course is an overview of the basic concepts and procedures needed to produce prescription lenses. Students are introducted to the basic operation of the surfacing layout marker, lens blocking system, surface curve generator and fining/polishing machine(S). Students will also learn terminology and techniques to assess the quality of finished lens surfaces.”
