Нямам никаква идея какъв е тоя traveler (сефте чувам за такава употреба). Но това намерих, ако е от някаква полза - a part of a mechanism constructed to move in a fixed course. Или: A metal ring that moves freely back and forth on a rope, rod, or spar. За какво се говори в текста, защото има и значения, които са nautical (не знам дали това е кейса).
