It seems like that. However, this term is widely used, even in formal texts, as seen in the examples... That is why I've selected this term and not "Guarová guma", however more natrual it might sound in terms of Czech morphology and syntax.

Depends on the register: you need to use "guma guar" in formal texts, that is the official terminology, according to my experience. (Cf. the EU directive and other examples above). You might use "guarová guma" in lower registers, of course.
