Yep, had found it too. It seems "musique de production" is used in Canadian French more often and "musique libre de droits" sounds more common in "Parisian French". Good luck with the rest of the file !

Actually, I will go with "production music". I found the following article on Wikipedia in which stock music is defined as production music http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_music. What do you say? In any case, thanks so much for your input! :)

Produktionsmusik Hi Myriam! Thank you for your post and link. I don't speak French, but they seem to use "production music" and have found the Danish equivalent "produktionsmusik". I'm just not sure whether "production music" and "stock music" are the same. Judging from the client's explanation, I think it could be used though.
