Michael Beijer Feb 14, 2016:
@Kitty Thanks, good point!
Kitty Brussaard Feb 14, 2016:
@Michael You're welcome :-) Perhaps it would be good to update the source term too: non-disparagement agreement/clause. That way your answer makes more sense.
Michael Beijer Feb 13, 2016:
Thanks Kitty! I updated the glossary entry accordingly.

Yet another good reason for people to stick to one direction (NL>EN in my case).
Kitty Brussaard Feb 13, 2016:
@Michael Please note that compounds should always be written as one word in Dutch. If this results in an overly long and/or complex word, rephrasing is usually the best way out.

In this specific case, selecting a few of the options you proposed (without suggesting these are correct translations, as I haven't looked into that aspect), write/spell or rephrase as follows:

imago- en/of reputatieschadeovereenkomst, imago- en/of reputatieschadeclausule, imago- en/of reputatieschadebeding >> overeenkomst/clausule/beding inzake imago- en/of reputatieschade

Note also that imago- en/of reputatieschade, which is compounded with beding/clausule/overeenkomst in the proposed options, is a so-called 'samentrekking' which in turn is made up of two compound nouns (imagoschade and reputatieschade).

I know, Dutch is not always an easy language... :-)
Michael Beijer Feb 10, 2016:
or maybe: "imago- en/of reputatieschade beding/clausule/overeenkomst"
Michael Beijer Feb 9, 2016:
of misschien iets met "anti-smaad" see e.g.: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smaad
Michael Beijer Feb 9, 2016:
would this work? non-disparagement clause = imago-bepaling
non-disparagement agreement = imago-overeenkomst

see e.g.

"CZ schrapt omstreden imago-clausule

anti-smaad: relates more to the causes (and is closer to "disparagement")
and
imago- en/of reputatieschade more to the effects

... but they both end up referring to the same thing, if you see what I mean.
