I think 'production' is something of a 'faux ami' here — in this specific context, it just means 'props that were actually used in the filming' (cf. production stills) (i.e. as distinct from mere window-dressing items that don't actually figure in the film)
It doens't mean 'props that are GOING to be used for filming'

Of course, I have assumed from the slender context given that this EVENT is in some way to do with a film or show (promotion, etc., perhaps) — just because this is my background!
Of course, if the 'EVENT' is not related in some way to a 'production' of some kind that has already taken / is taking place, then clearly my suggestion is not applicable!
