English term

around how ...

English to French Other General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters Innovations vs safety in general
We choose everything from automobiles to alarm systems based on their safety innovations and their ability to make us feel safe and secure.
But the truth is, innovations around how we spend our money are becoming increasingly unsafe.

@Marc Spot on, then - nice bit of decoding!
polyglot45 Jan 30, 2014:
relatives à nos moyens de paiement ... alors ?
Marc Quantin Jan 30, 2014:
Thanks, Tony.
Geneviève Ghenne (asker) Jan 30, 2014:
Innovations bringing unsafety Actually, this is about the fact that all these innovations put our money at risk, and not only money but also our personal information.

Thank you,
Gene
Tony M Jan 30, 2014:
@ Marc! Yes! Good thinking! If we look at it from that perspective, it does make a great deal more sense!
Virginie Mair Jan 30, 2014:
= "innovations on which we are spending our money"?
Marc Quantin Jan 30, 2014:
how we spend our money = nos habitudes de dépense I don't think the author is discussing the fact that we need to pay for innovations, but rather that these innovations pertaining to our spending habits (online portals...) are becoming unsafe.
Victoria Britten Jan 30, 2014:
@Asker: what comes next? It would be really useful to know whether this idea is developed, and how: whilst Tony's interpretation might be right, it is a very curious sentence.
Virginie Mair Jan 30, 2014:
Est-ce qu'ils ne voulaient pas dire "innovations that make us spend our money etc." ou "innovations that aim to make us spend money etc." peut-être?

Example sentence:

This is about how the system encourages use to be less careful when it comes to using new payment methods. Like Didier said before.
